Plot Summary: A twelve-year-old French boy, Pierre (Patrick de Bardine), and his sister Nicole (Sylviane Rozenberg) accidentally obtain a kite that had drifted across the ocean from China. The two and their friends regard this kite as a treasure. At an antique shop, Pierre learns that the figure on the kite is named Sun Wukong. He also discovers that the letter tied to the kite was sent by a Chinese boy named Song Xiaoqing.
Piero was eager to become friends with Song Xiaoqing, but Beibote (played by Gerard Szymanski) snatched away the letter with Song Xiaoqing's address. Anxious, Piero prayed to Sun Wukong, only to find that Sun Wukong had walked down from the kite. Not only that, but it also fulfilled Piero's wish, sending him and Nickel to China. The brother and sister embarked on a magical adventure in this mysterious ancient Eastern country.
