Plot Summary: In the 1970s, in the Southwest Third Front region, countless Shanghai people came to this barren land with lofty ideals to build the nation, making tremendous sacrifices. At this time, the lingering effects of the Cultural Revolution were still present, and the chaos in state-owned enterprises had not yet subsided. Meanwhile, Wang Han (played by Liu Wenqing), a teenager attending a children's school, lived a carefree and happy life with his friends, including Balatou (played by Zhang Keyuan), Little Mouse (played by Zhong Guoxing), and Wei Jun (played by Lou Yihao). Wang Han, with his standardized radio calisthenics movements, was selected as the leader. To this end, he persistently begged his mother (played by Yan Ni) to make him a brand-new white shirt. However, while playing by the river, the shirt accidentally fell into the water, leading to an unexpected encounter with the murderer Xie Jueqiang (played by Wang Ziyi), who was being pursued by the police.
In the context of the times, there are so many strange phenomena that are puzzling to understand. Ordinary people have no choice but to follow the current and have no control over themselves...
